AbstractSudden failure of aircraft is a transient failure, always difficult to prevent for its quick and random occurrence. However, it has an evolutionary process from gradual change to sudden change, therefore the sudden failure of aircraft can be reduce or eliminate through the understanding its evolutionary mechanism. In this paper, the fatal accidents of aircraft are analyzed, produced causes of aircraft sudden failure are researched, and the formed process of aircraft sudden failure can be divided into three stages including gradual change, sudden change and sudden occurrence. It has important meaning to know evolution laws of aircraft sudden failure and prevent its occurrence

Conceptual Modeling of Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing For Customized Products: An Ontological Approach

Mass customization is implemented to provide outstanding service to customers with diverse tastes and preferences. However, mass customization has limitations in the traditional value chain and production paradigm. Taking advantage of advanced information technology, such as manufacturing grid and virtual enterprise, to facilitate mass customization and improve the customer perceived valued of mass customization raises a challenge issue. To achieve an ideal mass customization, the customer\u27s needs should be identified and met by the collaborative manufacturing from several manufacturers. Comprehensive conceptual models corresponding to the collaborative manufacturing for customized products are essential to understand how the collaborative process can apply in customized production, and facilitate early detection and correction of system development errors. In this paper, an ontology is described via a customized bicycle buying scenario to describe how to use an ontology for collaborative manufacturing. This ontological approach provides understanding of the domain, which can be used as a unifying framework to represent the selected phenomena for conceptual model

Intelligent Agents for Negotiation and Recommendation in Mass Customization

    Get PDF
Mass customization, as a means to meet individual consumerā€™s need on a large scale, has recently attracted the attention of both researchers and practitioners. However, as customers and their needs grow increasingly diverse, meeting every consumerā€™s need has become a surefire way to add unnecessary cost and complexity to operations. Furthermore, consumers are not all really ready for mass customization. They have to face inconveniences such as expensive price, delay delivery and they have to spend time ā€œdesigningā€ their product. In order to solve this problem, we proposed a way of intelligent agent assisted negotiation and recommendation. The recommendation is a preference elicitation process, while the negotiation is a communication process based on the situation of manufacturer, such as the inventory level, production cost and lead time. With the aid of intelligent agent of negotiation and recommendation, a good balance between efficiency and customer satisfactions of mass customization can be reached

Research progress in plant molecular systematics of lauraceae

Lauraceae is a large family of woody plants with high ecological and economic value. The tribal and generic division and phylogenetic relationship of Lauraceae have long been contro-versial. Based on morphological and molecular evidence, phylogenetic relationships within the Cinnamomeae, Laureae and Perseeae tribes, also called ā€˜the Core Lauraceaeā€™, have arisen particular attention. In this review, we comprehensively collated the literatures on the phylogeny of Lau-raceae published in recent years and summarized progress made in molecular systematic researches employing gene fragments, chloroplast genomes and DNA barcodings analyses. We clarified the phylogenetic relationships and main controversies of ā€˜the Core Lauraceaeā€™, the systemic position of fuzzy genera (Neocinnamomum, Caryodaphnopsis and Cassytha) and the development of chloroplast genome and DNA barcodes. We further suggested and proposed the whole genome analysis and different inflorescence types would be possible to provide more information for further research on phylogenetic relationships and taxonomy of Lauraceae
